Comprehensive acne solutions and skin resurfacing to restore smooth, clear, even-textured skin.
Acne is a medical condition, not a cosmetic inconvenience, and it is treated that way here. It ranges from occasional comedonal breakouts through to nodulocystic acne that scars permanently if left alone. The distinction matters, because the treatment that suits mild comedonal acne will do very little for hormonal or cystic acne, and delay in the latter case costs you scarring that is far harder to reverse than the acne itself.
Active acne and acne scarring are also two separate problems requiring separate approaches. Active acne is managed medically. Scarring is managed with resurfacing procedures, and only once the acne itself is under control — resurfacing skin that is still actively breaking out tends to produce disappointing results and fresh inflammation.
Acne is reviewed, not prescribed once. A plan is normally reassessed at four to six weeks, and being local to Gaur City 2 and Greater Noida West is what makes that review actually happen — which is usually the difference between a course of treatment that gets adjusted and one that gets abandoned halfway.
Consultation begins with classifying the acne — comedonal, inflammatory, hormonal or nodulocystic — because that determines everything downstream. Where a hormonal pattern is suspected, particularly in adult women, investigation may be recommended before treatment rather than after.
Active acne is usually managed with a combination of prescribed topicals, occasionally oral medication, and in-clinic procedures such as salicylic or mandelic peels. Scarring is addressed afterwards, and scar type dictates the method: MNRF and fractional CO₂ for rolling and boxcar scars, subcision for tethered scars, and peels for superficial textural irregularity.
No. Resurfacing procedures on actively inflamed skin tend to produce poor results and can trigger further inflammation and post-inflammatory pigmentation. Active acne is brought under control first — usually a two to three month phase — and scar work follows.
MNRF, or microneedling radiofrequency, delivers energy below the skin surface with minimal damage to the top layer, which makes it better tolerated on Indian skin and lower risk for post-inflammatory pigmentation. Fractional CO₂ is more aggressive and can achieve more in fewer sessions, but carries higher downtime and higher pigmentation risk on darker skin types. The choice depends on your scar type and skin type, and is made at consultation.
Most scar protocols run four to six sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Deep ice-pick scars may need subcision or punch techniques in addition. Realistically, good acne scar treatment produces substantial improvement rather than complete erasure, and you should be sceptical of anyone promising otherwise.
The evidence links high-glycaemic diets and, in some people, skim milk to acne severity. But diet is a contributing factor, not the cause, and dietary change alone rarely clears moderate or severe acne. It is worth addressing alongside treatment rather than instead of it.
No. Established acne scars respond to resurfacing regardless of age, although older, more fibrotic scars may need more sessions than recent ones. What does not improve with time is deep scarring left entirely untreated, which is the argument for addressing active acne early.

Book a Consultation →Acne is treatable at every grade, but the right plan depends on what kind of acne you have and what is driving it. At Lavanayam an MD dermatologist examines your skin, grades the acne and builds a plan around it — medical treatment first, in-clinic procedures where they add something.
Acne scars are not one problem. Ice-pick, boxcar, rolling and raised scars each respond to different procedures, and most people have a mix. At Lavanayam the dermatologist maps your scars first, then combines MNRF, fractional CO₂ laser, subcision and peels into a plan for your skin.
MNRF combines fine insulated microneedles with radiofrequency energy released at their tips, so collagen is remodelled deep in the skin while the surface is barely disturbed. That makes it one of the safest resurfacing options for darker Indian skin, and our first choice for rolling and mixed acne scars, open pores and mild laxity.
A fractional CO₂ laser resurfaces the skin in thousands of microscopic columns, leaving the tissue between them intact so it heals fast and lays down new collagen. It is the most powerful of our scar treatments and is reserved for the scars that need it — defined boxcar and surgical scars — with settings, preparation and aftercare planned for Indian skin.
